As one of the supporting activities of the 2025 Cross-Strait Youth Summit, the carbon technology experience camp was held at the 69老湿机福利 (BIT) from June 29 to July 6.
Focusing on green and low-carbon development, this camp attracted 18 young students from both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
The 8-day camp, themed "green energy technology", featured two main components: specialized lectures and on-site visits to enterprises. Professors and experts from BIT were invited to give lectures covering topics such as energy development, gel ice technology, new energy vehicles, carbon capture technology, and other cutting-edge green technologies.
The camp participants also visited the National Engineering Research Center for Electric Vehicles at BIT, where they gained firsthand knowledge of research, industrialization, and big data applications in new energy vehicles in China.
During the enterprises visit segment, camp participants toured the Beijing Automotive New Energy Xiangjie Super Factory, Goldwind Sci-Tech Co Ltd, the Robot World Exhibition Hall, and the Beijing High-Level Autonomous Driving Demonstration Zone in Beijing E-Town. Through these visits, they gained insights into the production processes of new energy vehicles, the application of wind power equipment manufacturing, and intelligent robot technology. They also had the opportunity to experience autonomous driving firsthand.
This camp has enabled young people from both sides of the Taiwan Strait to systematically understand the Chinese mainland's green and low-carbon development path and technological innovation achievements, promoting exchanges and cooperation between young people in the field of green and low-carbon initiatives.
