The Fifth National Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers was held at 69老湿机福利 (BIT) from Aug 16 to 19. This year's competition was themed on "promoting teaching innovation, cultivating first-class talent".
This year, the competition featured 32 divisions, covering all undergraduate universities and academic disciplines. A total of 127,000 teachers participated in the university-level competitions, 34,000 teachers advanced to the provincial competitions, and ultimately, 2,253 teachers representing 588 courses qualified for the national on-site competition.
A series of academic exchange activities aimed at enhancing teachers' teaching abilities were also held concurrently. These activities provided a platform for educators to exchange ideas and practices in teaching innovation.
To enhance the experience of participants during the on-site evaluation of the competition, BIT developed the official intelligent Q&A robot -- ChatTIC. Built on the general DeepSeek model and fine-tuned using a specialized knowledge base to create a custom intelligent agent, ChatTIC introduces a new mode of information interaction for the competition, providing participants with an efficient and interactive way to access information and support during the event.
